Pain
is often caused by a mechanical block to movement, or movement dysfunction (too much or too little movement). Manual
therapy techniques along with therapeutic exercise, postural re-education, and traditional physical therapy modalities offer
a comprehensive approach which treats the cause of the problem (the dysfunction).
When movement is
restored, pain is reduced and often eliminated. Untreated dysfunctions are the primary cause for osteoarthritis
(OA) and degenerative joint disease (DJD).
Patients receive 30 minutes
of one-on-one care in addition to all traditional physical therapy modalities and exercises. This comprehensive approach
is important to maximize results and speed recovery.
Each patient has
the same therapist from their initial visit to the completion of their rehabilitation program. We take this approach because
we know how important individualized care is to successful rehabilitation.
